Welcome to the Government Spine Institute, located in the Civil Hospital campus, Ahmedabad. Since our inauguration on October 13, 1978, by Shri Morarjibhai Desai, we have become a national leader in spine injury treatment and rehabilitation.

OUR FACILITIES
State-of-the-Art Infrastructure and Services
We offer top-notch facilities, equipment, and highly qualified staff to provide the best care for patients with disabilities and spinal cord injuries. With 80 indoor beds, we cater to patients from Gujarat and neighboring states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and even far-off places like Uttar Pradesh.
Annual Treatment Statistics
Each year, we treat over 478 inpatients (IPD) and nearly 10,000 outpatients (OPD) for spinal cord injuries. Our institute has separate wards for male, female, and special needs patients.
Advanced Operation Theatre
We have an advance modular operation theatre, equipped with the latest technology such as Power Drills, Laminar Air Flow, C-Arm IITV, Endoscopy, Arthroscopy instruments to ensures that we can provide the best possible care.
Unique Services
Our services extend beyond just medical treatment. We offer Pre and Post Treatment Support, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Special Initiatives like Cure International, Jaipur Foot Center, and Vocational Rehabilitation Training Center.

We are also a hub for education in allied medical and therapeutic branches. Our campus includes Government Physiotherapy College, Government Prosthetics and Orthotics College, Government Occupational Therapy College, and Government Audiology and Speech Language Pathology college.

The institute along with training of different professionals under school health program supports with aids and appliances to the children. Various initiatives like Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) and Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) have been taken by the Institute to ensure best possible quality services to the patients.
